Needle File, Knife Edge, 160mm, Cut 2 – Medium Grade

Description

This Tapered Needle file features 2 flat faces that come to a fine point making it ideal for getting into the corners of most miniature filing jobs.

Tapering in thickness and width, this file is suitable for use on both flat surfaces and corners.

This file is a medium cut 2.

The coarser the file the more metal is removed. Files are graded as below:

• Cut 00 – Very coarse
• Cut 0 – Coarse
• Cut 1 – Coarse/Medium
• Cut 2 – Medium
• Cut 3 – Medium/Fine
• Cut 4 – Fine

The smooth round handle can be held comfortably without use of an additional wooden or plastic handle although a handle such asis recommended for long term use.

Jewellers may wish to use a separate set of needle files for gold work to avoid cross-contamination of metal.
