Busch Grain Tool No.12 Steel

Description

This No. 12 Grain Toolhas been produced from a single piece of high qualityhardened steel and is characterised by a stable design which provides a smooth and precise finish.

They are used primarily in grain setting techniques to form a rounded bead from a pre-raised grain of metal on a jewellery item, and to push this bead gently over the edge of a stone to keep it secure.

Grain tools can also be used to round the ends of claws on claw settings.

These superior tools from Busch are designed with a filigreed edge to better protect gemstones and have a highly glossed concave inner surface which in turn gives a perfect finish to each bead.

With an internal diameter of 0.85mm and an outer diameter of 2.6mm, this tool also has a predetermined point at which it can be shortened with pliers, if closer control is required.

These tools range from No. 0 (0.25mm) to No.22 (1.35mm) increasing in increments of 0.05mm
