Description

Platinum plating bath PT/RH 12 from Heimerle + Meule deposits brilliant, white layers of platinum/ rhodium with high corrosion resistance and hardness, making it highly suitable for decorative purposes.

Developed by highly qualified specialists, this solution is very easy to handle, therefore achieving a fast and efficient processing result every time.

The solution contains 1.5g of platinum and 0.5g of rhodium per 1 litre and will deposit a thin layer of approximately 0.3 micron in brilliant white colour.

This time saving solution has a high colour stability, even with a low gold content and offers optimal throwing power. In addition, the layers are deposited in a shine-maintaining manner, minimising clouding.

It is important to read the information sheet before use. Following the outlined procedures are essential for optimal results as additional products and processes are needed.

Instructions for use:

• Tank: PPH tanks only
• Anode: Iridium- mixed oxide anode –
• Bath temperature: 40-50 °C
• Exposition time: 2-3 min
• Voltage: 1.5-2.5 V
• Bath filtration: required (permanent filtration with activated carbon)
• Hardness: ca. 600 HV
• Add 800ml of Deionised water into a thoroughly cleaned tank
• The solution must be stirred until the chemicals have been dissolved and have fully merged with the water
• To intensify the colour of the deposition, the last rinsing after galvanic coating with Platinum plating bath PT/RH 12 should be carried out in 60-80 °C hot deionised water for 10-20 seconds

Please note :

This bath contains acids and must not come into contact with cyanides or cyanide-based solutions.

The chemical must be stored sealed and has a limited shelf life (approx. 2 years after date of manufacturer). Always check the expiry date displayed on the bottle.
