This Fretz Silversmithing Rounded Wide Raising Hammer is part of the Fretz Silversmithing range of hammers that have been specifically designed for heavier force striking when making hollowware and larger metal items.

This Fretz Silversmithing Hammer features one 23mm x 12mm rectangular face and one 23mm x 10mm rectangular face, both ideal for bowl blocking and for use with broader width strips, forming them into concave shapes.

Both faces have a high, mirror finish that ensure fantastic results and work extremely well when used with a concave block of wood or into a sandbag.

Delivering precision, whilst being built for toughness and durability, this Wide Raising Hammer is a scaled up version of the Fretz Jewellers Large Rounded Wide Raising Hammer (999 7193). It provides a much heavier tool, perfect for use with thicker metal gauges.

The hammer head is made from 420 graded stainless steel and is secured onto a beautifully crafted handle made from oiled Padauk wood, which has been designed to flex during hammering for increased comfort and reduced strain.
