This Fretz Jewellers Janus Chasing Hammer is part of the Fretz Jewellers range of hammers that have been specifically designed for medium force striking when making jewellery or smaller metal items.

This Fretz Jewellers Hammer, named Janus after the two headed god, is a double faced chasing hammer. It features one highly polished 25.4mm (1″) diameter flat round face that is perpendicular to the handle, ideal for planishing and one highly polished 25.4mm (1″) diameter flat round face that is tilted downward, perfect for traditional chasing techniques.

Delivering precision, whilst being built for toughness and durability, this alternative Chasing Hammer has been designed to flex during hammering, creating slight bounce-back for increased comfort and reduced strain.

The hammer head is made from 420 graded stainless steel and is secured onto a beautifully crafted handle made from oiled Padauk wood, which has been designed to make light-work of switching heads whilst in use.
