This Busch Pink Carborundum Abrasive burr is characterised by a stable design which provides a precise power cut and optimum concentricity, ideal for achieving matte finish.

These abrasives are ideal for use with all kinds of steel, precious metals such as gold and platinum and their alloys and even ceramic to create a matte finish or prepare for further polishing.

These burrs are made from corundum which is a hard mineral consisting of aluminium oxide such as Sapphire (any colour except red), Ruby (Red) or Emery (Black mixed with Magnette, hematite or hercynite).

Due to the hardness and coarseness, this abrasive removes larger quantities of metal than a soft rubber abrasive.

Measuring 11.0mm in diameter, It has a full working head depth of 17.0mm.

The cone shape is ideal for reaching the inside of bezels and difficult to access areas, elevated edges or achieving matte strips on jewellery.

Mounted onto a steel 2.34mm shank, it is designed to be used in conjunction with a pendant drill, hobby drill, micromotor, pin vice such as 999 AKK or 999 332 buff a surface.

The shank fits into the collet/chuck of the drill, and when turned the smooth edge grinds against the surface being worked upon.

Quantity of material removed depends on pressure applied, use of ‘Burr Life lubricant’ () helps prolong the burrs cutting ability.
