This Busch Small Carbide Burnisher Starlight Polisher has been produced from a single piece of hardened steel and is characterised by a stable design which provides precise power and optimum concentricity, ideal for achieving a high polish.

These strong carbide burnishers are ideal for use with precious metals such as gold and platinum to create a very fine, high quality mirror-like finish.

Starlight Polisher is a rotary tool bit made of polished tungsten carbide that smooths, brightens, and densifies metal surfaces with minimal material removal. Instead of cutting away metal like an abrasive burr, its smooth carbide head rolls over the workpiece, cold-working the metal to create a mirror-like sheen and seal tiny pits and porosity in castings.

Measuring 6.0mm in diameter, It has a full working head depth of 5.5mm.

The fat barrelled shape is ideal for the insides of bezels, curved ring shanks, elevated edges or achieving highlighted strips on jewellery, due to their size they are also the perfect tool for reaching difficult to access areas and reassesses.

Mounted onto a 2.34mm shank, it is designed to be used in conjunction with a pendant drill, hobby drill, micromotor, pin vice such as 999 AKK or 999 332 or even by hand to shape or give shine to a surface.

The shank fits into the collet/chuck of the drill, and when turned the smooth edge rubs against the surface being worked upon.

We suggest using ‘Burr Life lubricant’ () helps prolong the burrs cutting ability.

Best used at 25,000 – 35,000rpm.
