Description

The salts are a dried form of plating solution which are dissolved in DISTILLED water and used with the Micro- plating Unit ().

Each packet has a printed quantity and this denotes how much plating solution the contents will make.

It is advisable to mix the whole packet rather than smaller quantities to ensure an even distribution of salt ingredients.

Deposits up to 0.5 micron thickness may be applied by barrel techniques, plating at 3.5 volts for 3 minutes.

A Stainless steel anode should be used for these salts.

These salts may be applied directly to all copper alloys, brasses, bronzes, gilding metal and nickel silver. Equally suitable are silver, nickel plate, rolled gold and gold alloys. Most other metals require an undercoat of copper, silver or nickel plate.

• Vat Plating Time : 8-25 seconds (15 secs = 0.1 micron)
