Vallorbe Needle File, Knife Edge, 200mm/8″, Cut 2 – Medium Grade

Designed, developed and manufactured in Switzerland, these high-quality Vallorbe files undergo rigorous checks to ensure they stand the test of time.

Made from high carbon steel and suitable for use on all metals, they deliver a superior performance time and again.

This Vallorbe Tapered Edge Needle File measures 200mm in length, 6.0mm x 2.4mm thick at widest point. It features two cutting faces that taper to a fine cutting point and a safety back, making it ideal for filing tight angles and welds.

Jewellers may wish to use a separate set of needle files for gold work to avoid cross-contamination of metal.

Although it is not necessary to use a handle with needle files, specific needle file handles are available .

This file has a medium cut 2 finish.

The coarser the file, the more metal is removed. Files are graded as below;

• Cut 00 – Very coarse
• Cut 0 – Coarse
• Cut 1 – Coarse/Medium
• Cut 2 – Medium
• Cut 3 – Medium/Fine
• Cut 4 – Fine
