This Presidium Dial Gauge is the industries only dial gauge that measures round brilliant cut gemstones using either Carat or Millimetre dimensions.

Presidium are a leading manufacturer of high quality Gemmological instruments and distribute to institutes, laboratories, jewellery manufacturers, diamond appraisal and retail businesses worldwide.

This easy to use analogue dial can measure from 0.0mm – 23mm in 0.1mm increments and is suitable to use with loose and mounted stones with open back settings, including high settings.

It has a smooth slider mechanism and a patented anvil which has a non-metallic, lubrication-free rack and pinion that prevents wear and tear ensuring accuracy and features an inner scale display for USA ring sizes.

Portable and light weight, it is advised to hold the dial in the palm of either hand and control the slider with your thumb.

Functions of the Presidium Dial Gauge

The Wedge Shape Points measure:

• Stones mounted in rubbed over settings
• Interiors of empty settings
• Ring sizes

The Projecting Probe measures:

• Depth of mounted stones
• Width and length of large, loose stones, especially fancy cuts

The Jewellery Attachment measures:

• Depth of stones in high settings
• Depth of stones in settings with small holes

A gemstone weight estimation table and protective carrying case are also supplied.
