Needle File, Barrette, 160mm, Cut 0 – Coarse Grade

Description

This Barrette Needle file measures 160mm in length, 4mm in width and a 2mm thickness. It also has a safety back, meaning only one edge of the file is used for cutting.

Tapering in thickness and width, this file is suitable for use on both flat surfaces and corners.

This file is a coarse cut 0.

The coarser the file the more metal is removed. Files are graded as below:

• Cut 00 – Very coarse
• Cut 0 – Coarse
• Cut 1 – Coarse/Medium
• Cut 2 – Medium
• Cut 3 – Medium/Fine
• Cut 4 – Fine

The smooth round handle can be held comfortably without use of an additional wooden or plastic handle although a handle such asis recommended for long term use.

Jewellers may wish to use a separate set of needle files for gold work to avoid cross-contamination of metal.
