Multicolour Aluminium 4 Disc Portable Diamond Measurement Gauge

Description

These aluminium discs held together with a chain are the perfect solution to measuring diamonds and precious gemstones on the go.

The gauge contains 4 coloured discs with cut out shapes that signify the measurements of different shapes and sizes of diamonds such as Round brilliant cut, Baguette cut, Emerald cut and Marquise cut.

Each disc has carat sizes engraved by each hole.

The blue disc contains 14 round holes measuring approximately 1mm, 1.1mm, 1.4mm, 1.5mm, 1.7mm, 1.7mm, 2.1mm, 2.2mm, 2.3mm,2.6mm, 2.8mm, 3.2mm,3.5mm, 3.7mm and 4mm it also have two marquise shaped holes measuring approx.. 2.5mm x 4.8mm and 3.5mm x 6.5mm.

Thegreen disc then takes us to larger round holes measuring approx. 4mm, 4.3mm, 4.4mm, 4.5mm, 4.8mm, 4.9mm, 5.2mm, 5.5mm, 5.6mm, 5.8mm and 5.9mm and more marquise holes measuring 3mm x 5mm and 2mm x 4mm.

The silver disc then has the largest round holes measuring approx.. 6.2mm, 6.3mm, 6.7mm, 7mm, 7.3mm,7.5mm and 8mm, this has the two smallest marquise holes in it also measuring 1.8mm x 3.6mm and 1.1mm x 2mm.

The gold disc has 8 rectangular holes measuring approx. 2.8mm x 5.7mm, 1.8mm x 5.9mm, 1.3mm x 3.1mm, 1.6mm x 3.6mm, 2mm x 4.5mm, 2.3mm x 5.2mm, 1.8mm x 4.8mm and 1.2mm x 4.3mm.

Each coloured metal disc has a couple of tabs on it making it easier to open.

Each disc measures 36.6mm and contains at least 8 holes.

These gauges may also be used to suggest what size stone a setting will accommodate, the gauge is placed over the setting and each hole is placed across the top until the nearest size is reached.
