The rollers are able to fully close. When the upper gear with the T-handle is properly fixed and aligned, the rollers should close completely with no gap remaining. You can also try using the rolling mill with soft PTFE plastic materials. For the best performance, we recommend using material with a thickness of under 2.5mm.

This rolling mill arrives coated with a protective rust inhibitor substance. This is to help prevent from from rusting durning shipping. The coating is easy to remove. Here’s how to do it:

Step 1

To remove the Cosmoline coating, wipe the tool with a paper towel or other disposable absorbent material. This alone should be enough to leave the tool feeling clean and usable.

Step 2

If some substance remains, use a small amount of kerosene or paint thinner on a clean paper towel or other disposable absorbent material to dissolve it.

When this combination rolling mill is not inuse recover the rollers with a protective lubricant to prevent rusting.

Spare rollers are also available for this mill.
