This No. 09-14 Grain Tool Set has been produced from single pieces of high qualityhardened steel and is characterised by a stable design which provides a smooth and precise finish.

They are used primarily in grain setting techniques to form a rounded bead from a pre-raised grain of metal on a jewellery item, and to push this bead gently over the edge of a stone to keep it secure.

Grain tools can also be used to round the ends of claws on claw settings.

These superior tools from Busch are designed with a filigreed edge to better protect gemstones and have a highly glossed concave inner surface which in turn gives a perfect finish to each bead.

With internal diameters of 0.70mm – 0.95 and an outer diameter of 2.6mm, these tools also have a predetermined point at which they can be shortened with pliers, if closer control is required.

The whole tools range consists of No. 0 (0.25mm) to No.22 (1.35mm) increasing in increments of 0.05mm
