This Busch 203HSS Shank Drill Set has been produced from a single pieces of hardened steel and characterised by a stable design which provides a precise power cut and optimum concentricity, ideal for creating sharp neat holes.

Measuring from0.50mm to 1.60mm wide these Shank Drill bits have been constructed for drilling holes in hard metals such as platinum and 18ct white gold for jewellery applications.

Made from high speed steel, with long life due to high temperature stability.

The working part of these drill bits vary from 10mm to 12mm, which is the deepest these drills can produce a hole.

It is recommended that you mark the position of the hole in preparation of drilling.

Designed to be used in conjunction with a pendant drill, hobby drill, micromotor or even a pin vice such asorto cut or grind away a surface.

However, using these drill bits in a bench drill, rather than a pendant motor or flex shaft, will reduce the risk of of breakage.

The drill bit should be used intermittently with light pressure rather than a single, high pressure action.

Using cooling liquid such as drilling oil or ‘Burr Life lubricant’ () will improve tool life.

Whilst using a cooling liquid we also recommend a drill speed of 5000 -8000.
