Burr Wheel No 3 1.2mm

Description

This 0.6mm wheel burr features multiple teeth on its top surface and is mounted on a 2.34mm shank. Similar to cylindrical burrs but with a lower profile, it is designed for use with a pendant drill, hobby drill, or micromotor.

Ideal for opening drill holes for setting, adding surface patterns, or grinding away excess material, its wheel shape allows for precise work on bezel walls and cutting channels for stone girdles.

A wheel burr is used in stone setting for :

• Creating Seats in Channel and Bezel Settings : Cuts a precise, flat-bottomed groove for stones to sit securely.
• Shaping Prongs : Helps refine and shape prongs before securing the stone.
• Opening Up Settings : Removes excess metal to adjust the fit of a stone.
• Pave and Bead Setting : Forms small recesses for stones and helps create beads to hold them in place.

Its thin, disc-like shape allows for controlled cutting, making it ideal for refining and detailing settings. Suitable for metal, wax, and plastics, with material removal depending on pressure applied.

Use of ‘Burr Life lubricant’ () helps to prolong the burs’ cutting ability.

Please note : Remember to have your motor set going clockwise to make the burr last even longer.
