Wooden Bending Swage Block With 5 Wooden Mandrels

Description

This wooden swage block has 5 half-round grooves and punches which can be used for forming pieces, the punches measure 30.9mm, 42.8mm, 36.9mm, 63.9mm and 75.3mm in width and are approximately 65mm long.

The block can be used to create D-shaped wire but also is ideal for forming tubes and collets.

Use a rawhide mallet such asand the wooden doming punch that is smaller than the groove you require, simply anneal your metal by heating and pickling it, put it into your required curve, turn the punch on its side, and tap with your mallet to form a half tube shape.

Although this wooden swage block is hard enough to move your metal it doesn’t leave marks on your piece like a metal swaging block could.

Please note grooved surfaces should be kept clean and polished as any marks will impress onto the surface of the metal.
