Wolf Wax by Ferris, winner of a MSJA Innovator Award, is inspired by renowned master modelmaker Kate Wolf, Kate has been carving wax and making jewellery for over 40 years.

Wolf clay is an ideal way to hold metal components in place while you solder them together (as it doesn’t burn), simply pack it in and around your items before adding solder and flux and heating.

After use you can simply gently pull off the clay, the clay can be placed into to a jar and water added and can then be reused as long as it hasn?t absorbed too much flux.

If trouble removing you can add water to soften they clay and use a toothbrush to get where you cannot reach.

Aswell as not shrinking, swelling or deforming in any way, soldering clay is ready to use, you do not need to wait for it to dry.

We would advise wearing gloves or washing hands directly after use as the clay can dry your hands.

Unlike a third hand the tweezers can move around, this keeps your work completely stable, also tweezers can draw the heat out of metal far more than this.

Please be aware you cannot use wolf clay with platinum or palladium, as it can cause pitting.

Wolf clay is non toxic meaning it does not contain asbestos or other dangerous ingredients.
