Description

The Rawhide Mallet is a pretty formidable and useful tool early in its career, they are very hard and hit with very little resistance.

With use the Mallet will become slightly deformed and begin to soften, this can all be remedied by simply trimming the end of the mallet.

Mallets are used to shaping or flattening metal without marking it, mallet heads are much softer than the metal.

Mallet head is made from animal hide, head diameter 1 1/4″ Used for a more gentle movement of metal on or around stakes or triblets.

Used for Bending, forming, truing forms & gradual stretching.
