This soldering probe with tungsten tip is a sharp, pointed implement which is used to help guide molten solder along a join while soldering.

This soldering probe is made from steel, with an 89mm tungsten tip and a stainless steel heat shield.

Tungsten does not conduct heat as well as other metals, making it ideal for use when soldering – to avoid solder sticking to the tip, the tip melting or the probe becoming too hot to handle manually.

The 35mm stainless steel heat shield also helps to protect the hand and fingers from heat, and its square shape prevents the probe from rolling when used without being held.

This soldering probe also features a comfort grip handle, and is supplied with a replacement tungsten tip.

Total length including tip and handle is approximately 190mm.
