Stainless Steel Firing Stilts, also known as trivets, are an essential accessory for vitreous enamelling. They are used to support vitreous enamel pieces while being fired in the kiln, and also provide a raised surface to allow heat to circulate fully around your work. Particularly useful for applying enamel to more than one side of a piece, stainless steel firing stilts ensure that your work piece is supported with minimal contact to previous coats of enamel. This firing stilt or trivet measures approximately 50mm x 70mm x 64mm, and has three raised sections to provide three support points for your enamel work. It also features a raised base, allowing the stilt to be easily taken in and out of the kiln with a metal firing fork.
