Smokey Quartz, Round, 10mm

Description

Smokey quartz is a variety of quartz, with soft charcoal brown colours, caused by free silicon from natural irradiation.

Generally known as a grounding stone, smokey quartz is excellent for neutralising negativity and bringing stability and calmness.

This round faceted smokey quartz measures 10mm.

Smokey quartz has a hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale and a specific gravity of 2.65.

Please note that due to the nature of the stone, each stone is unique so colours will vary and slight natural inclusions and zoning may be present.

Care: As with all gemstones, care must be taken. It is not advised to place smokey quartz stones in an ultrasonic, steam cleaner or chemical cleaning solution. Smokey quartz can be easily cleaned with a warm soapy water mix and an untreated cloth.

It is advised to avoid exposing smokey quartz to prolonged periods of heat and light.

A slight tolerance of +/- 0.25mm should be expected with these stones and these smokey quartz are sold individually.
