Rathburn Ring Stretcher

Description

This handy Rathburn Ring Stretcher has been designed to easily and simply enlarge rings.

Rathburn ring stretchers are a portable tool that can be used on the go.

The sizer can be used to increase the size of the ring that measures approximately P, R, U, W, Z, Z+3 and Z+5.

This tool comprises of a nylon base which holds the tool securely, defusing the noise and preventing damage to your worktop.

To use the ring stretcher, first measure the ring and ensure that the size coincides with the above suitable sizes. Once this has been done, simply place the ring onto the top of the rathburn and tap, the tapered inside opens up the multi leaf mandrel in order to increase the size of the ring.

It is recommended to use a nylon (997 3102) or rawhide mallet () when hammering to ensure a gentle, slow increase. A heavier hammering action may effect your solder joins.

Please note, this ring stretcher isnot suitable for rings with stones in as it may damage or push out the the individual stone.

If you require to remove the inner section, this can be done by turning the ring stretcher and tapping it.
