This Kiln Accessories Kit contains 13 essential tools to use with the Prometheus PRO-1 Kiln range.

The kit includes tools to make firing an easy process as possible. An all-important kiln shelf which provides a surface for your work to be placed on while in the kiln, and can also be used when removing work from the kiln. The stainless steel kiln pan is intended for use with metal clay work to combine PMC Sterling, Bronze Clay and Copper Clay and could be filled with activated Carbon. The re-usable fibre blanket pillow can be used to gently support your round or delicately shaped pieces during firing.

Accessories offering firing support are in the kit. The four kiln posts are designed to raise your shelf off the kiln floor, making it easier to take the kiln shelf out and also prolonging the life of your kiln floor. Mesh offers an ideal surface for supporting work pieces, as the woven texture and raised shape allows heat to circulate around your work for an even firing. It can also easily be moved in and out of the kiln with a metal firing fork.

This kit also includes several hand tools that are essential for kiln work. Tweezers are ideal for removing your pieces from a kiln safely and easily, and are a staple in any workshop. The steel brush is a great tool to use after firing, and after your piece has been in pickle solution to bring out a silver shine.

The reusable moulding compound is made from a silicone non-stick moulding material. It is perfect if you need to make lots of moulds but only need a few copies cast from each mould. It does not stick to Art Clay, Project X or Polymer Clay and is great for fingerprints as it picks up a lot of detail. Simply place into hot water above 80 ºC and after 3 minutes the piece will get soft enough for pressing the design into.
