Oxidising Solution 500ml Un2818

Description

Also known as Liver of sulphur, or Ammonium Hydro-Sulphide.

Used to blacken silver, producing an antiqued patina.

Please note – Always follow instructions and use in a well ventilated area or fume cupboard.

This concentrated liquid needs to be diluted before use. Add 25ml to 1 litre of water & heat to 60/70C. Emerse for 5 to 20 seconds for desired patina.

This can be used on Silver and Copper.

Please note

Direct sun light storage will cause the slow down of the process.

Do not return used solution to the bottle as this can accelerate the ageing of the solution.

The chemical must be stored sealed and has a limited shelf life (approx. 5 years after date of manufacturer). Always check the expiry date displayed on the bottle.

This product is categorised as Hazardous Goods therefore it may be a diluted solution of pure chemical, a mixture of substances, manufactured products or articles which can pose a low element of risk to people, animals or the environment if not properly handled in use or in transport. Therefore narrowing down the choice of delivery methods.
