Description
For the past 30 years, Orotig have designed and created state-of-the-art technological products of exceptional quality. They have continued to evolve, introducing compact lasers for use in the jewellery industry
The Canova 50 by Orotig is a compact and high-performance laser engraving and marking machine designed to deliver professional-quality results with ease, safety, and versatility. Its space-saving design, featuring a patented helmet-style opening, makes it ideal for small workspaces.
As a Class 1 laser device, it ensures operator safety with a CE-certified inspection window, allowing safe operation without protective eyewear when the hatch is closed. Sensors prevent the laser from functioning when the hatch is open, guaranteeing complete safety for both operators and customers.
User-friendliness is a standout feature of the Canova 50. Thanks to Orotig’s proprietary MARKo software, even users without prior experience can perform precise engravings in just a few clicks.
The software offers guided procedures, animated tooltips, and preset programs tailored to different materials, allowing operators to either customize parameters or rely on professionally developed defaults.
The Canova 50 laser engraving machine is designed to mark a wide range of materials including:
- All metals like gold, silver, platinum, copper, brass, aluminium or stainless steel
- Ceramics
- Plastics
Please note : Cutting of titanium and steel is limited to simple geometries with a maximum thickness of 0.4 mm.
The machine is equipped with a dual-camera system, including one panoramic and one high-magnification lens, enabling live previews of the marking process directly on the workpiece. Operators can zoom in with precision, ensuring perfect alignment of intricate designs or text, which is particularly useful for delicate jewellery pieces. Canova also supports three focal lenses: 100 mm, 160 mm, and 210 mm, providing flexibility to work on a variety of item sizes and detail levels. Depending on the lens used, the marking area ranges from 60x60mm up to 145x145mm.
To support various focusing needs, Canova integrates multiple systems. The digital autofocus (standard) uses a depth camera similar to those in autonomous vehicles, to adjust the Z-axis automatically. There is also a manual focusing option, where dual red lasers intersect at the optimal focus point. An optional mechanical autofocus uses a touch probe for highly accurate focusing on reflective or uneven surfaces.
Performance wise, Canova offers fibber laser sources of 30 W or 50 W, delivering speeds up to 8000 mm/sec and excellent beam quality (M2 < 1.5 for 30 W, <1.8 for 50 W). It can mark all metals, ceramics, and certain plastics, making it highly versatile.
