Combining economy of use with high performance, Matticraft V offers optimum alloy characteristics for price sensitive areas. Most porcelains are silver resistant, so simple preventative furnace purging is sufficient to ensure accurate colours and quality of porcelain work when using this alloy. Tips: allow casting to bench cool; avoid melts that are 100% scrap; ensure oxy-propane torches are correctly adjusted and that induction furnaces are calibrated; with large bridges, it is recommended that firing temperatures are raised slowly to avoid structural distortion; we recommend that porcelain furnaces used to fire this alloy should be purged weekly.
