One of our best established but under-rated alloys, Matticraft E can be cast as thinly as 0.2mm thick making it the alloy of choice where minimum tooth preparation means space is limited. Whilst possessing a light oxide colour, the alloy exhibits exceptional porcelain bonding properties. Flexible enough for all types of work from inlays to long bridges and where light milling may be required. Tips: always melt alloy in Ceramic crucibles; allow castings to bench cool; avoid melts that are 100% scrap; ensure oxy-propane torches are correctly adjusted and that induction furnaces are calibrated. When firing porcelain, support each unit of a bridge or place onto a fibre mat, this will avoid distortion.
