The GRS ID Ring Holder is part of the GRS ball vice accessory collection and provides an economical tool that offers a simple, functional yet quality solution for work holding when engraving or stone setting.

Made from a robust metal construction, this portable tool is supplied with a range of mandrels suitable for holding rings and other cylindrical pieces and is compatible with all of GRS ball vices and other vices.

This versatile fixture can be angled to suit your working requirements and lowered (when held in vice jaws) providing additional clearance and dampening vibration, making it ideal for microscopic engraving or setting. It frees up both hands enabling more control and will reduce fatigue compared to traditional ring clamps.

It holds from the inside and uses expandable mandrels (which are altered manually) that provide equal pressure due to their fluted design. Standard cone mandrels are also included; when used the ring drag can be set to allow smooth rotation when working on the surface of your piece. The unique locking system ensures your piece will stay secure, ideal if you are raising beads or pave setting.
