Description

This 14ct Gold Filled Sparkle Beading Hoop Earring provides a great basis for beaded earring designs. To secure, simply adjust the hoop so that the straight end overlaps the ring fastening end by a few millimetres. Then pass it through the ring, slightly bending the ring to do this. Bend the end upward enough to secure the hoop closed so that the beads are kept in place when the earring is worn. Gently widen the hoop to open the earring.

There’s a wide variety of designs to be made from this simple but effective finding, simply slide the beads of your choice onto the hoop to create your unique piece.

Gold filled jewellery is also known as rolled gold or gold bonded and is created by mechanically bonding a layer of gold to a layer of base metal – usually brass. The outer gold layer must be at least 1/20 of the overall metal content by weight. Therefore it makes a great alternative to gold plating, which is thinner and less durable.

Unlike gold plated metal, gold filled can be soldered using 9ct or 14ct gold easy solder.

Hoop measures 30mm in diameter at a thickness of 0.70mm.
