Gold Filled Round Disc 16mm Light Blank

Description

This 14ct Gold Filled Disc has a variety of uses, from a simple pendant or drop earrings to charm style bracelets, large jewellery tags and personalised engraved designs. The disc features a pierced hole at the top, ready to be attached to your jewellery designs via a jump ring, or directly onto a chain or cord. The disc has a plain, polished finish on both sides, making it ideal for metal stamping.

Please note gold filled material MUST be stamped delicately with care, to prevent damaging the gold layer.

Gold filled jewellery is also known as rolled gold or gold bonded and is created by mechanically bonding a layer of gold to a layer of base metal – usually brass. The outer gold layer must be at least 1/20 of the overall metal content by weight. Therefore it makes a great alternative to gold plating, which is thinner and less durable.

The disc has a lightweight finish, perfect for more delicate designs.

The disc measures approximately 16mm in diameter, with a 1.20mm diameter pierced hole. It has a thickness of approximately 0.50mm.
