Description

This 14ct Gold Filled 2 Row Clasp is perfect for finishing custom chains and necklets. It features a rectangle body with a delicate filigree pattern. A hook style catch to fasten your design is hidden inside the clasp when closed and two closed jump rings are at either end to fit a double row of chain.

Gold filled jewellery is also known as rolled gold or gold bonded and is created by mechanically bonding a layer of gold to a layer of base metal – usually brass. The outer gold layer must be at least 1/20 of the overall metal content by weight. Therefore it makes a great alternative to gold plating, which is thinner and less durable.

Unlike gold plated metal, gold filled can be soldered using 9ct or 14ct gold easy solder.
