This 14ct Gold Filled Ball Stud is a simple but elegant, ever-popular earring design and features a highly polished finish. Simply add your own scrolls and any further design elements for a wonderful finished jewellery piece.

Gold filled jewellery is also known as rolled gold or gold bonded and is created by mechanically bonding a layer of gold to a layer of base metal – usually brass. The outer gold layer must be at least 1/20 of the overall metal content by weight. Therefore it makes a great alternative to gold plating, which is thinner and less durable. Unlike gold plated metal, gold filled can be soldered using 9ct or 14ct gold easy solder.

The ball stud measures 5mm. The post is approximately 9.5mm long and measures approximately 0.74mm in thickness.
