The Flat File, 150mm/6″, Cut 2 – Medium Grade is a hand file used to remove metal and refine surfaces for further techniques. Measuring 150mm (6 inches), this medium-grade file (Cut 2) offers a balance between material removal and surface smoothing.

It cuts on the forward stroke, but not on the return stroke, ensuring the surface remains smooth. Medium files are perfect for achieving a refined finish without aggressive material removal, making them ideal for precision work.

For best results we recommend starting with the coarsest file and working through the files, finishing with the finest.

• Cut 00 – Very coarse
• Cut 0 – Coarse
• Cut 1 – Coarse/Medium
• Cut 2 – Medium
• Cut 3 – Medium/Fine
• Cut 4 – Fine
