This Durston Planishing Press is a must have for any workshop. The bench tool blends both a block and heavy duty striker into a practical and simple operating unit.

An excellent tool for flattening metal after it has been cut or rolled, for example gold, silver, copper, platinum, palladium, brass and so on and will come into its own once metal has been cut or rolled as it becomes uneven.

To use the Durston Planishing Press simply place the metal onto the planishing block which has been case hardened, flat and polished. Then using the palm of your hand on the top of the machine, press the striker down with strength onto the metal.

The way the tool works means the striker will then raise up again ready to push it down all over again.

This tool means the planishing can be done with great ease, the tool can also be used for jewellery designing when you want to put a design onto a metal sheet, in order to carry this out you need to place the pattern under the metal sheet show and strike the machine down.

Please note this may have to be repeated in order to get the required quality of the pattern. The main part of the tool has been made of heavy cast iron and ensures the correct weight support to the power of the striker blows.

The planishing base measures 100mm in diameter, the planishing press is 78mm in diameter and the overall height measures 540mm.

The tool weighs 51.200 lbs (23.245kg).
